Rangers Without Borders

Poland + Lithuania // 2018

The Rangers Without Borders project investigated the working conditions of wildlife rangers and their collaboration across national borders. The European leg of the project focused on Białowieża National Park, one of the last fragments of primeval forest in Europe and a final stronghold of the European bison. The forest crosses into Poland, Lithuania and Belarus.

The project was conducted in partnership with WWF, with grant funding provided by the National Geographic Society.

A full account of the Rangers Without Borders expeditiont was published in the Geographical, and can be read here.
